It was fun to have a little “slice of life” story of 100 years before GoT, but I found some of the gravitas lacking in this book compared to the other books in this universe. The ending felt a little lukewarm to me. I know that these were originally 3 short stories, but it still lacked a little punch. Still, it was a fun light read.
