Blaze by Stephen King, Richard Bachman
4.0
Stephen King always warns his readers against the Richard Bachman books, and it is true that many are not quite up to the caliber of a King book. However, despite not having the supernatural elements that permeate many of King's books, except for, arguably, Blaze having the 'shine,' the book fit perfectly into the King collection. Clayton is complex and a terrifying mix of dangerous and compassionate humanity. You find yourself alternately rooting for and against him, sometimes at the same time.
It may not have had the adrenaline rush of some of King's more famous book, but still a great, worthwhile read for any fan of his characters and writing.
