this is very much a don’t judge the book by its cover scenario. this book is mostly a study in grief and healing and it was very painful and also pretty therapeutic. generally was just thinking “ouch! this is emotionally devastating!” the whole time. wish there’d been a little less of the anthony evil mastermind thing because everything else felt very grounded except that. also wish we’d had a convo between eliot and sam abt their feelings for each other.
