American Prince by Sierra Simone
3.0

This is the second book in the series which picks up with the aftermath of book 1. I love Sierra Simone but I had mix feelings for this book. It was good but just not great. This is Embry’s book which means we get to know more about who he is and why he’s in a certain position. There are different conflicts throughout this book but I have to say that they were bland or fustrating. What annoyed me was the blackmail and abduction story because they are literally VP, POTUS, and FLOTUS. I know it’s fictional but a lot was happening in this short span of time. The pacing was great though with more of a fast pacing. This book is told from Embry’s past and present pov with some of Greer’s thrown in.

Embry is the MMC who has been with Ash since they were in the military. Their relationship is messy and Embry has secrets of his own. I enjoyed knowing more about his character but I do wish we got to see some growth. Then we have our side characters Greer and Ash. I love Greer who is strong and I am excited to see more of her. Ash’ book is coming next which I am excited to read after the secrets being revealed. The romance is very steamy and I recommend reading TW for it. It’s not just romantic but also from anger, betrayal, and jealousy.

The ending ends with a minor cliffhanger. I am excited to read Ash’ book next to see what he will do with the information revealed. I would say that I loved book 1 more because there was just more growth to it. This book was just telling the story of Embry’s life without showing if he grew. I do recommend checking this series out and binge reading them for the full expierence.
