Dune Messiah
by Frank Herbert
Denis Villeneuve has his work cut out for him on this one because I have no idea how this will work as a movie.
That said. I kind of enjoyed this more than the original book? Maybe a hot take, but I love a good tragedy. The entire book feels like we're hurling towards an inevitable disaster. But even in defeat, Paul is able to drag his enemies down with him.
I still don't connect with Herbert's writing style (it still feels so impersonal) but I definitely liked overall arc of Paul's story.
