Don't Hold My Head Down by Lucy-Anne Holmes

informative fast-paced

3.0

This nonfiction written by Lucy-Anne Holmes introduced me to a lot of concepts and ideas that I had never previously considered before, while also encouraging female empowerment in sexual situations (providing statistics about internalised misogyny, socially-learned repression, and more). I found her writing engaging and eye-opening; my only critique is that I wanted more! Although I appreciate this text was more memoir than self-help, I would've loved it if she had delved into more of the gory details of her topics! Overall a good read.
