This book is just beautiful. A couple of chapters of exploratory journalism, a few evocative shorts & a memoir, which is about the situation more than the author. There is so much in one book yet the style is faultless and it flows surprisingly well.
The author is in the book throughout yet her focus is unwaveringly to highlight the importance and urgency of what she has witnessed. There is nothing vapid or of self-importance. Powerful.
