White Nights by Fyodor Dostoevsky

so heartbreaking, but SO beautiful. idk how he made us care so much for the characters even when the book was so short; i think it's maybe because it was so relatable - the part about unrequited love, loneliness, alienation, having absolutely no one to talk to - no one you can share things with. it just hit the right spot for me. my first russian lit / dostoevsky book, and definitely not my last :)
