The Murder of Roger Ackroyd by Agatha Christie

5.0

Agatha Christie's title as the "Queen of Mystery" is absolutely merited! This mystery novel's twists and turns left me in the dark as to the identity of the killer right until the very end!

Unlike some modern mysteries/thrillers that are best described as fast-paced and heart-racing, I would definite Christie's novels as a steady intrigues, which I find equally as satisifying. The intrigue builds, the puzzle pieces are revealed one-by-one, and, at last, the entire narrative is revealed in a satisfying and surprising end.

Christie is also able to craft mysteries without any plot holes, which is a challenge not many novels seem able to overcome nowadays and shows her incredible abilities!

Wonderful, delightful read.
