Before starting this book, I had heard it was complex, difficult to understand, and also that punctuation marks were somehow aliens. All of this is at least partly true. It's a demanding book in the sense that it submerges you in the theory and practice of a non-existing branch of linguistics, the power morphemes, and understanding the theory that serves as a foundation for the whole plot requires some imagination. Still, some points are presented through a video game analogy that makes everything more relatable.

It's easy to get lost in the variety of spells the characters use and their combinations, which allow them to even move between different planes of existence. Even so, there are many straightforward action scenes. The ending is satisfying, although a little abrupt. All in all, this was a fun (and very sparkly) trip through the real world, the logosphere, the game world, and beyond.
