During the pandemic, I've been reading (and rereading) all of Kate DiCamillo's books, and as I finished this one, I realized that I'd never really connected that the main theme to all her books are characters being brave. I mean, I'd noticed it in my favorite book (The Tale of Despereaux), but I'd never really connected it on a larger scale.

In this one, I'm glad that Francine found her moxie and purpose again. Sometimes we all need a hefty dose of moxie.
