This show has become one of my favorite things running in online TV right now, an incredible display of animation originality and creativity. This book collects the original short stories that all the first season episodes were based on, plus screenplays for the few original episodes created for the show. They run the full breadth of what sci-fi and horror storytelling has to offer, from the goofy, snarky shorts by John Scalzi, to the deeper and more thoughtful stories by the likes of Ken Liu and Alastair Reynolds. I have full-length works by a few of these authors on my shelf, ready to be read, and reading these shorts has made me really excited to get to those longer books. I would absolutely recommend this to any science fiction or horror lover, whether you watch the show or not. I've already put a library hold on volume 2, and I can't wait until it's ready.
