Beastars is a fresh and exciting story that explores animal instincts in the most unique, but obvious way. While comparing it to Zootopia is tempting (they do share some similar topics), Beastars is grittier and delves deeper into relationships between carnivores and herbivores.
The Netflix adaptation is well-worth watching.  Studio Orange proves that not all CGI anime are bad.
