A classic why choose magical academy with light enemies to lovers romance. It's enjoyable - characters are fun, lots of flirty banter, and some plot. A lot of the story & setting feel like many, many books in this genre. Not a bad thing, but definitely keeps this from being in the "great" category. My biggest gripe is the "insta lust" and how little our FMC actually does anything about her main reason for being at the school. It seems thrown in as an after thought sometimes, just to show it's not forgotten.
Overall, a fun & flirty read. If you like the why choose magical academy mini genre, you'll like this one too.
