The Batman Who Laughs by Scott Snyder

3.0

The Batman Who Laughs is an incredibly cool character. The Batman Who Laughs is only a pretty-good book. Not at all atypical for a big super-hero event that extends into a greater universe unfortunately. The main plot here: the combination of TBWL's plot, Batman's counter-plot, and the Joker's sub-plot(s)... it never landed with me. Having a combination of two geniuses battle those two geniuses leads us smack into convolution central. Some exchanges between characters here are cool, and some moment's of Jock's art are very cool, but overall this book isn't a particularly satisfying standalone narrative. That's okay! But it's not great.
