Dying to Remember by Trish Marie Dawson

4.0

As soon as I finished the first book, I wanted to get my hands on the second book. When I received the second book, I couldn’t wait for even a second to start it.

This book continues where the first book ends and so we get to know many things and many mysteries and “big things” unfurls in the second book.

I liked the second book and enjoyed it alot but I didn’t love it as much as I did the first one. The second book was also amazing but I guess my expectations were higher though I’m not disappointed because this book contains many different and new mysteries about The Station and what is beyond it which I’m really curious to know. Don’t worry, I’m not going to spoil anything at all.

I love Piper more in this book. She’s not annoying or whiny like some typical YA heroines but she’s hopeful, curious and a bit stubborn but not in an annoying way.

I love her friendship with Kerry-Anne and how these two including Mallory care about each other. I loved the parts when all three of them would just sit together at the fountain and talk and talk like normal best friends. Except that they’re dead. I hope to read more of their friendship in the third book.

I also admired the connection between Sloan and Piper and their love for each other. Although I wasn’t into their relationship too much, I was curious to know about their connection.

Did I mention that I also the connection between Niles and Piper? I don’t think I did. I love that he was like a fatherly figure for Piper. It’s like she has her own family in The Station and that is so sweet. I love Niles. He’s such a sweet and kind person. <3

I admire the author’s writing and how she carefully choose the words that made the readers more hooked on the novel. The story was gripping and some shocking revelations left me stunned. The world that she has created is full of mysteries and secrets that makes a reader curious. Her writing style is commendable and how she expressed every single detail and emotion of Piper is applaudable.

There were some mistakes in the format I had and that actually made it harder for to comprehend some moments and scenes in the book but they could be negligible. Apart from this, everything was really good and I highly recommend the series.

I’m looking forward to reading the third and last book (I guess) in the series.
