challenging dark emotional reflective sad tense

geeze. what a chilling collection of poems. such raw, devastating, painstakingly emotions conveyed in each poem. it made me feel less alone as a woman, but also angry all over again knowing this is and was the very reality of many women (i.e. with men and the violence and fear we have towards them) and continues to be. 

works like this are forever important. to our unending mission of unsilencing the silenced.
