This was confusing and the ending was ultimately unsatisfying. I was left wanting a lot more. I found the transition between character voices jarring at many points, and the gaslighting of Madeline by Hugh honestly infuriating. An interesting concept for a story, a blur between writer and character, but felt it went too far at times.
