I loved this book! It was a delight all the way through. I loved the plot, and I loved the characters and their relationships. Everything felt really refreshing.

We have this practically perfect couple getting ready to have a baby, but things quickly take a wild turn, and people aren't who they actually thought they were. Suddenly we have this fun twist of oh shit, angels and demons are here on earth, right now. Is this Supernatural? Because you got my attention and I am IMMEDIATELY INVESTED THANK YOU. I enjoyed the writing a lot. I loved the characters and the humour.

I did have some minor nitpicks: For one, I wish it was longer. There are three books in this series and each book is a mere 200 pages.. and it felt like it because I was not done. I want my book-y conclusion, which IMO I did not get. (Spoilers.) Which is fine, but I think it would have benefited as a longer book instead of splitting the story into a series of short reads.

It also got very very sit-com-y with its silly antics as the plot got on, which I enjoyed, but it felt too repetitive as the story went on, and again for 200 pages, I wish it changed that part up a bit and maybe spent that space to play with other things. Hell, even add more spice in there, lol. There was a little spice but at that point, it almost felt out of place because my brain went, "oh so spice IS happening? now? sure, okay."

But overall I really enjoyed this book and I'm looking forward to the rest of the series!

Didn't like that cliffhanger! It really made the short book feel even more incomplete.
