I generally love his books, but this one didn't quite catch me as much as usual. It was definitely more gripping towards the end. There were two big "OH SNAP" moments which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Perhaps I should put more effort into reading the Sigma books in order; this one had a huge plot point to the Guild which hopefully doesn't wreck too much of the previous ones.
