Munich by Robert Harris
5.0
Well read and a quickly moving tale about an interesting period of history, the Munich Conference of 1938. There are two characters worthy of sympathy, one German and one English, both former students at Oxford. A tragedy (revealed at the end of the story) separates them before they go on to careers in foreign service. They are thrown together at this conference. Interesting insights into Chamberlain and Hitler as well. I found myself driving around just to listen to the story - a good sign!
