One of Us Is Lying
by Karen M. McManus
Ok...I could not put this stickin' book down!!! It was so good! Just reading the first 2 sentences I was caught. I was sucked into the story in a snap.
At first I was thinking that this would be another predictable murder story, but the more I read the more I was having second thoughts and soon I was trying to figure out the murder case along with the characters.
Speaking of characters, I fell in love with each every one of them. Some later then others as I got to know them better. Though none were like me, I felt like the character development and how they overcame different trials was really well written.
I love the story plot as well, such a creative idea to have the POV of each character! So smart to do in a murder story.
It takes place in a modern time, following the lives of 4 teenagers as they try to deal with being involved with a murder, that literally happened in front of their eyes. So who was it? Who is innocent? Who is lying?
I really enjoyed this book and would read it again, to see if I can pick up clues...haha! I actually got my sister and my mom to start reading it. I do suggest not for younger readers! There is swearing, Sexual content, and the talk of depression. So! Be cautious when you read. I mean it is probably not as bad as other books that many you have read, but still it's just a heads up.
