Let me start this review off with say that the Authors of the book are not in any way at fault for the rating. The books writing was beautiful and it truly evoked a lot of emotions out of myself. So they truly did a smashing job on the writing. My issue was with the FMC. She downright pissed me off.
The FMC started off in the book “Four” as a strong woman that knew she was a spoiled mafia princess but when she lost her family, she instantly decided to change that. She wanted to become the strong independent woman. One that could take care of herself, help her new found family and knew when to stand down or stand up. So please tell me how in this book she became the dumbest person alive and just walked up to the doors of the enemy thinking she could just ask for her boyfriend back? How was that a though? Where did it cross your mind that “this is the best plan ever!” Don’t get me wrong, I fully support that she didn’t want left out of the plans to get the one MMC back but how was that the plan.
Then the FMC has the audacity to fall in love with a fourth man and be pissed at the other MMC’s when they are upset about sharing her. One MMC made a comment about him possibly finding another lady for himself and the FMC downright had a hissy fit. Her reasons for why he can’t are very hypocritical. She just went from this level headed FMC that became a warrior to be reckoned with to a very dramatic woman that thinks she knows best. The FMC just seemed to have a complete 180 of her personality.
The FMC truly just kinda annoyed me through the entire book and I really did not enjoy it compared to the first book in this duet. I think all the MMC’s were true to themselves through both books and I feel it was a perfect fit. With how much the FMC changed, this will be lower on my list to recommend to others but still that doesn’t take away from the authors writing skills. They surely provoked emotions and feelings out of me, so they for sure get a wonderful rating but the FMC just drove me a little nuts.
