The Color of Time: A New History of the World: 1850-1960 by Marina Amaral, Dan Jones

4.0

Wow. This was a fascinating book. Honestly I just expected to look at the pictures, but ended up reading the text as well. 110 years of history presented in color. Interesting and also sobering, particularly the next-to-last shot of an underwater plutonium implosion bomb creating a mushroom cloud over the Bikini Atoll. Adding color is a grim reminder that this was not something that only happened in the past, it could happen today.
