Very Bad Company by Emma Rosenblum
medium-paced
3.0
A member of a tech startup goes missing on their company retreat in Miami. Caitlin is the new hire but unsure what her role actually is... but with a seven figure salary, stocks, and other benefits, how was she to say no?
Executives behaving badly. And there's murder. 🤣 It read almost like a reality show, I was so intrigued but I couldn't really root for anyone. Every character was pretty terrible, constantly making self serving decisions, anything to get ahead. But I guess that's what money can do. 🤷♀️
There were a lot of POVs, which kindof added to the chaos. I found myself mixing up characters, as they didn't have much depth to them.
I did like the commentary surrounding corporate greed and the toxicity of a highly competitive workplace. The CEO was the literal worst.
🎧 The narration by January LaVoy was great. Her voices along with the chaos of this story was thoroughly entertaining.
