STRONG recommend

This was a unique book. But you need to understand the premise BEFORE reading it. The book is told from Kneenie's (fictional) viewpoint about the summer he turns thirteen. It is from a kid's viewpoint so it is not perfectly written! It is not a memoir of Edward Burns at all!

My biggest issue is that this audiobook is quite short at 4 hours and 45 minutes. I think more about Kneenie and his immediate family could have been explored more fully. But, I understand that two more books are coming about this character. It will be interesting to see!

Finally, the "potty humor' grated on me after a while. But it IS a book written by an almost thirteen-year-old boy!
