A Friend in the Dark by Samantha M. Bailey
5.0
I am highly considering creating a BookTok or BookTube page solely to rave about this book.
This is my VERY FIRST 6 Star read EVER. And the fact it's a thriller romance- I'm obsessed.
I found myself crying, laughing, crapping my pants in suspense and all the other emotions I can't seem to feel in other books. Eden was beautifully captured and I felt this need to protect her at all costs. I don't want to spoil for anyone else so I will refer to the other main FMC as "lady". BUT OMG, plot twist after plot twist!! I caught myself a few times reading her chapters nodding my head being like "yeah totally understand, totally justifiable." I was having my own inner banter with the characters to the point my boyfriend asked me if I was okay LOL.
Usually I have a hard time following stories with dual POV's but this was written so well, and I had no issue following who was speaking.
Let me add, I listened to this on audible and didn't even know I had it in my Library until I had to do a 4 hour drive for work and decided to put it on. And boy, am I happy I did so.
Please please PLEASEEEEE everyone read this, then come find me so we can talk about it because my bf can only take so much talking about a book :)
