I really enjoyed this one! I love retold fairy tales but frequently you can see what's coming. This one surprised me in several places, and I loved the slightly sci-fi and sinister twists. Sleeping Beauty has a traditional "happy ending," but this doesn't, and I like it the more for it. I might rec it for next year's yuletide, as I'd really like more about Otto and Bren and Rose.
