Despite some flaws, I enjoyed reading this book. One of the most glaring flaws, for me, was that one of the main characters--a young woman old enough to be living on her own--came across, mostly through her language, as an older teenager. I kept having to remind myself that she was older, which was distracting.
Another flaw, although I hesitate to use that word, was the religious/Christian secondary theme. (Caveat: Although I consider myself a Christian, I am not a church-going Christian. I am a spiritualist.) Although this author's handling of the religious/Christian aspect of this story is not as heavy-handed as Debbie Macomber (I no longer read her books for that reason), I still feel a little bit manipulated by the author's trying to influence my beliefs.
