The first half of this book was brilliant. Felt more focused, more witty, funnier than the original. The second half was odd. It turned into a sea-faring pirate adventure. The focus was so off from the first half that it felt disjointed. So much time was spent on this pirate adventure. By the end, it felt like the author was in a rush to try to tie up all the loose ends. The end was not satisfying. Nothing truly earned. I’m giving it an OK score simply because of how great the first half was. I’m not so inclined to finish the series.
