This is the first book I have read by this writer, and it won't be the last.
Jack and Luanne were quick witted, funny, and full of laughter. There was also a lot of pain and vulnerability just beneath the surface for both of them.
I loved the fact that they discovered while spending time together, they each could let down the walls they built to protect themselves and be safe with each other.
The characters were well developed. Even the ones you didn't like. The ones you did like left you feeling like part of the family. The story takes you through a range of emotions; happiness, sadness, pain, anger, etc.
I read this book via KU (Kindle Unlimited) and I am so glad I did.
