Praying Like Monks, Living Like Fools: An Invitation to the Wonder and Mystery of Prayer by Tyler Staton

A book on prayer and strengthening one's prayer life. Overall well worth the read. The application section closing each chapter provides tools making prayer less mystifying and more accessible. A couple points, one there are occasions when in interpreting a biblical story Staton asserts facts not in evidence (like the woman caught in adultery found John 8 being covered in the top sheet from her lovers bed, top sheet> sheet? there's nothing about her attire in the passage... wait what was Staton writing about?) which turns into distractions from his purpose. Similar, yet different, are certain assertions about certain Biblical accounts and authorship which while held by many, are not held by all (Serpent in the Garden being Satan, David being the actual author of the Psalms.) That being said, I still give the book four stars because it accomplishes the goal it set out to do, it is enjoyable, and inspiring to all those who pray, want to pray, or would like a stronger prayer life.
