The Master Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg

Did not finish book.
The third installment of the Paper Magician trilogy failed utterly to live up to the promise of the first book. This is a continuation of an unfortunate trend in the second book.

The entire plot of the book is dependent on Ceony, whom the author spent a great deal of time painting is very intelligent and reasonable, making stupid and unreasonable decisions. If she didn't do foolish things, there would be no story at all. Even worse, 2/3 of the book goes by before Ceony stops dithering unproductively and goes out to kick the hornet's nest.

It's really too bad.

Amy McFadden continued to do an enjoyable job as the narrator, however.
