This book is OUTSTANDING and should be required reading in all colleges. It should also be revised into a YA version and required in high school, as well.
I already knew I wasn't a good listener going into this book. I cut people off, assuming I know what they're going to say or to jump in with my own story or advice. This book confirms how detrimental my lack of listening can be in relationships. It also highlights the positive attributes and self-regard for those among us who are good listeners. Furthermore, it helped me understand why I have these insecurities that contribute to my lack of listening and suggests ways I can learn to be a good listener.
