Red, White & Royal Blue by Casey McQuiston

4.0

This is one hell of a ride and I love every bit of it. From the enemies to fake best friends to hopeless romantic lovers trope down to the way the emails were written.

Reading this truly feels like emotional rollercaster, it was hilarious at first, then turned to be somewhat sweet, then became ?@?!?+) super frustrating with now only Alex & Henry conditions but the election as well, and then it became bittersweet to a heartfelt happy ending. Oh and i love the pacing!! Not too fast nor too slow, just right. And the way Alex exploring his sexuality written, I could feel his confusion too tbh.

I'm not sure if this makes sense or this review is worth to read I just wanted to say that I love this a lot and that I want what they have.
And anyways!! It's more than what I wrote (I just don't have the capability to write reviews okay). It talked about many issues, like the queer community, how dirty an election could be (although its an open secret), and how suffocating a live for anyone could beć…”even moreso for the First Son and the Royal Prince who had to live up to society's expectation, had their lives planned even before they're born (My birthright is a country, not happiness), and just can't be themselves because they're a little bit different from most people. Lastly, I love Zahra and I will recommend this to everyone I meet.
