It was definitely a slow start to this one and I debated DNFing but about 50 pages in I started to get into it.
At first I found the flashback chapters a bit annoying, mainly because Anna and Evie were constantly referred to as the 'blonde' one and the 'raven haired' one which reminds me of bad fanfic. But once they moved past that I began to really enjoy the story and engage with the characters.
I think my favourite thing about this book is that I expected this to be a romance and whilst it does have that the main love story is between the two girls. Despite everything that has been said and done nobody understands them like each other.
I'd recommend this book to anybody looking for a good little mermaid retalling with a twist.
