This is one of the sweetest most wholesome romcoms I’ve read in a while. Sean and Kayla can be fun and flirty while also diving deeper into their struggles. Kate is the master of light-hearted books with real life struggles and strong character development that will also make you giggle. This book gives that warm, cozy falling in love and having fun with your best friend feel. From the second they meet, they are like old friends. They have their own language almost, filled with inside jokes and deep longing for each other.
Sean and Kayla are one of my fav couples of Kate’s because of how the support one another. They aren’t flashy or showy but they consistently show up for one another when it’s needed most. The protect one another, anticipate each others needs, and are each other’s biggest cheerleaders.
The witty comebacks from all and sassy old ladies are next level. The town people and community is very sweet. There are so many side characters that I’d LOOVVEE for them to get their own books.
This is a lighthearted, clean closed door romcom with some innuendo. There is no cursing.
**Thank you so much to Kate for letting me read this ARC. I received a complimentary copy. No positive review was required. All thoughts are my own.**
