Listened to the audiobook version & I’m so glad I did. I think this is a very important book for people to read, especially white people. I think it’s important to listen to and understand the experiences of Black people in this country so that we can become better allies. This book did a great job of that- I feel more confident in my ability to engage in meaningful conversations about race in America and show more empathy to people who have, and will always experience life differently than I do. We cannot expect change without taking actions as individuals, and this book is a great start to that.
