Love at 350° by Lisa Peers

3.5 stars.

i've been reading a lot of dense fantasy lately, so i desperately needed something fluffy and fun. 'love at 350 degrees' looked like it would fit the bill perfectly, and i'm happy to report it did! this was sweet as cherry pie and had the perfect amount of cheese. i adored tori, our main character, and kendra, her love interest. both women are in their 40s, which is such a rarity in romance fiction! i loved getting to see two older lesbians find love later in life, and their love notes to each other throughout the book are adorable.

i will say though, the one thing that frustrated me was that the romance took a back seat to the baking show plot. this was marketed as a romcom, but there's very little romance and very little comedy. which is fine! clearly i liked the book, but i came in expecting a full-blown romance and i feel like this just didn't deliver on that front.

overall though, if you need a short, sweet read, check this out!
