3 stars. I really enjoyed the story of this and thought Sky was a very relatable character. I felt for her and saw a lot of my younger self in her. As a coming of age tale I think this is great. The writing style is what hindered this for me. This type of poetry has never and will never be my favorite and it took me a bit to get somewhat used to it but overall it just drove me absolutely nuts. That’s definitely a me thing and that’s not to take anything away from the author. I just know that I would’ve rated this much higher if the writing style hadn’t been so jarring. There’s a great story there though and I’m glad that I read it.
