Codename: Sailor V, Vol. #1
by Naoko Takeuchi
adventurous
As someone who read the entirety of the Sailor Moon Eternal Editions this year, it is so interesting to dive into Sailor V's story afterward. You can tell this world was a creative sandbox of sorts for the creator, as many ideas, character designs and personalities here later evolved into different forms in the Sailor Moon series.
All that said, I personally didn't really care for this volume. Mina is basically Usagi 2.0, everybody shouts all the time and the overall energy is frantic, as if everyone is on their fourth cup of espresso. But I think it's a cool piece of history for Sailor Moon fans, so I'd say it's at least worth checking out to see if it is to your tastes!
