From a literary analysis standpoint, I think it is a very good book (especially its portrayal of the end of golden age Hollywood and the struggles of queer people trying to exist as their true selves). But personally, I didn’t like it because of its euthanasia propaganda. I also felt that the accidental pregnancy and subsequent abortion scene was super unnecessary and didn’t contribute at all to the plot .
