 I remember reading Emily Doe's Victim Impact Statement on Buzzfeed in 2016, before anyone knew Chanel Miller's real name. It was just as impactful then as it was listening to it in Chanel's own voice in this audiobook. Tear-jerking stuff that lights a fire under you.

The whole book has the same gravitas. She expanded this statement perfectly, putting into words feelings that I've never been able to explain. She's a gifted writer, that's for sure. I only feel sad that this is the story that chose her.
