My favourite K.F. breene series are: Demigods of san Francisco, Deliciously dark fairytales, and the warrior chronicles.
I've tried a few others by the author, and they didn't hold my interest the way the above mentioned did. I've read this book once before during a slow day and it kept my interest but I didn't feel the need to continue...but I missed this Author's humor and found family dynamics so I thought is give it another try.
Whilst I did laugh and wanted to know how it ended, I really struggled to finish it. I find the characters fine, but I'm not in love with any of them. I found that I was continuing to read because of the love I have for the other series by this author.
So nostalgia kept me reading.
I've been told it gets better, so I'll try to finish the first trilogy and see if it improves.
