Dragon Flight by Jessica Day George

5.0

In the beginning of this book, the first thing that one will notice is that it does make a bit of a jump from the end of Dragon Slippers. I'm going to attribute this to the fact that Jessica Day George was originally planning to write only one book, sans any series, but still I find it a bit annoying.
Other than that, the writing is entrancing as always. I loved this book as much as the first one (and was an excellend easy read for lunch breaks at work). The fact that we discover both Niva and Shardas to still be alive is wonderful, as I really did want to meet Niva. George delves more into the history of the Dragon race with this one, I believe, which I think just makes the story even more believable (you know, in that whole talking-dragons-live-next-door kind of way).
Definitely a must if you liked the first book.
