I have OCD and it was so meaningful to read a book, especially fantasy/romance novel (my fave), that accurately portrays what living with OCD is like. It was powerful and reflective for me to read the perspective of the FMC for this reason. Although we experience OCD differently, we both struggle with all-consuming egodystonic obsessions and compulsions.
