Feel-Good Productivity: How to Do More of What Matters to You by Ali Abdaal

4.0

Fun, quick read with a lot of helpful tips to be more productive on tasks you enjoy. The book also breaks down why we do not enjoy some tasks and encourages us to find the fun: “What would this look like if it were fun?”.

If a task is necessary, but not fun, the book explores the different types of motivation and how to remove obstacles to make it more bearable or ways to look to the future to establish our “why” for tasks.

Side note: At the beginning, the book talks about Watson and Crick winning the Nobel prize for discovering DNA’s double helix structure. Anyone curious about this should research Rosalind Franklin. She is credited with the data and work that the other two used to “discover” the structure of DNA.
