The Piper story exceeded this one by a lot for me (even though I didn't love that one either). Fox's dirty talk seemed cheap in the context of what he felt for Hannah, and if Hannah's character had just been a psychologist her way of being would have been a lot less distracting. I was hoping I'd get to like the story better since it actually features two adults who have adult conversations, which never happens in romance novels, but that wasn't enough to counterbalance the drama with Fox for me.

Weirdly, there were typos and editing misses in the digital copy I read. Not a ton, but enough that I noticed.

Given that the dirty talk in both of these books bothered me, I think I might avoid other Tessa Bailey stories. Perhaps her preferences are just too far off of mine.
