This book is fascinating. I started reading it late one night and then couldn't put it down. It looks at an alien encounters differently than most other works of fiction. The aliens act intelligently in order to achieve their own ends while throwing earth societies into mass confusion.
With our own history of colonisation, should we really be trying to make contact with aliens? Should we really be beaming all those radio waves into space like a beacon?
