dragonfriend 's review for:
The Black Cauldron
by Lloyd Alexander
I liked this one better than the first book. It was more exciting. The plot was more thought out and developed. The moral lessons were incorporated into the story well. It also had more death and sacrifice in it than the first one, which also can make for a deeper story. Although the adventurers (Taran and his friends) were not actually knights, I'd say it's a good book for people who enjoy stories about knights. The concepts of honor and pride were important topics in this story.
